An extension of Ghost Orchid: Fever Dream, Holograms brings together the Crystal Efemmes in a multimedia performance where dancers’ interpretive movements are based on the lifespan of Dendrophylax lindenii, the rare, perennial “ghost orchid.” In this new iteration of the Ghost Orchid Project, video, text, costumes, sound, and movement come together to evoke ideas of Inter-species symbiosis, specifically between the ghost orchid and its pollinators, but also as a larger metaphor for Earth-bound species.
